RENAY
DJ Renay is a New York City house head who unintentionally became a DJ because of her frustration of not finding the house music she wanted on cd’s.
She started her journey late in the game and spent 5 years teaching herself how to mix in her living room. She finally got the courage to play in public at an “open turntable” event and that led to an opportunity to play at that venue.
Shortly afterwards, she embraced opportunities through social media and podcasting and has been on internet radio ever since.
In 2016, she started her own label Brooklyn BeatDown Music and is currently producing music. You can find her releases at Brooklyn Beatdown Music and check out her label’s facebook page for the latest news on forthcoming tracks.
Currently, DJ Renay’s Soulful House Sessions can be heard every Monday 10pm til 12 midnight GMT on LWR House.
