My love of music stemmed from a young age Mum being heavily into her reggae and lovers rock – affiliated with early LWR days. Dad being heavily into his soul and dance music not forgetting garage and he’s worked heavily in the industry for radio, currently still serving with Stomp radio.
Finding a love for the art of mixing, I fell in love with music more and more as time went on. Although not as early as I had even recognised. Spin Spin Sugar and Mariah Carey remixes sent me on a never ending joyride.
Finding a love for the art of mixing, I fell in love with music more and more as time went on learned to tackle all genres and love crossing. Yes, it’s possible.
Just wanting to better myself I stepped up time and time again to try and get out there so I started DJing for myself privately at various functions and events. Done many a wedding and birthday, Halloween’s, corporate events and so on… just wait till Christmas… LWR fans… but my real art is in the nightclubs, or in fun unplanned sets.
See, the key is knowing the music and what goes with what.
I’ve worked in Area Watford, Oceana Kingston (now Prizm), Morgans in Magaluf and even a regular spot in the now closed and demolished Isha lounge in my hometown.
I love garage mostly an old school house but you put a beat next to me and I will blend it for you into whatever you want me to blend – into. I love mash ups and crazy random tracks… ever heard a Garage version of Macarena? LOL I’m working on it.
I can play music from the 1930s right up to modern day and I have a passion to always learn new music and new ways of doing things, and to be part of LWR is a dream come true… I’m playing to you!
Oh and if you’re wondering… the cute little girl jingle is my lil girl. One of two and their both gorgeous.
Essentially, Music is my life- or the track that my train runs on without a driver. I’ve been through hell in recent years and LWR, you the listeners and my family and friends are helping me return.
