A newcomer to the radio scene. Amigo started his radio DJ’ing career a few years ago hosting Deep and Soulful House shows on a Friday night which have built up a  world-wide following in a very short space of time. House may be his ‘here and now’, but the essence of jazz, funk, soul, go-go and p-funk still influence his playlist choices.

So, where did it begin…

“By the time I could earn a wage, the legendary Mike Allen’s (Allen’s Army), Westwood, Jasper, Froggy, Zack, Fuzzy Dee, Greg Edwards, Robbie Vincent and many more had me spending all my dosh on vinyl which came from the historical Groove and Bluebird record stores in London. It’s there I spent hours trolling through the white labels to find those tracks that would blow me away! And boy, did I find them! Not content on just being a bedroom DJ, a sound system was born and the vinyl along with the 1200’s took a trip across London and surrounding counties, where we hosted house parties, all-nighters and held residencies at clubs across London’.

Fast forward to now…….. the original LWR was a fundamental part of my life back in the 80’s, and the revitalised station has given me the opportunity to bring my show to the only station that matters.
